A new anonymous messaging app, Blind, is making it possible to connect many employees from more than 1000 US tech companies including Google, Uber, and Apple to discuss negative work-related issues such as sexual harassment, corruption, negative competition among employers and many more.
The app comes at a period when workplace scandals are on the rise. However, Blind maintains a policy against discriminatory and inappropriate content to prevent abuse of its service. In a statement by Blind’s head of marketing, Kyle McCarthy, he mentioned that whenever an inappropriate content such as racist comments, discriminatory remarks, and invasion of privacy is posted, that content is taken down. App users have been advised to flag offensive content within the company’s channels.
