Blackberry Takes Legal Action Against Facebook Over App Licences

Blackberry, a Canadian Multinational Tech Company, has taken legal action against social media companies Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp over infringements of its messaging app patents. This suit comes years after Blackberry‘s inability to resolve the impasse through dialogue.

According to the lawsuit, Blackberry is seeking an order that would force Facebook to shut down its applications and websites including Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp. Blackberry is also requesting for an unstated amount of money for damages caused.

Facebook shoves the move by Blackberry as claims made desperately by a dwindling company and intends on fighting the case.
