McAfee Discovers Automation and Gamification Necessary For Cybersecurity

McAfee Inc, an American security technology company, in its new survey, has revealed the challenges IT security organizations face in terms of risks, technology investments, and skills needed in the fight against cyber threats. The report named “Winning the Game” further outlines the efforts to improve Job Satisfaction, Automation, and Gamification as necessary activities in curbing cyber threats.

The “Winning the Game” survey findings indicate:

• 46% of the respondents believed cyberthreats will be difficult or impossible to deal with in the coming year.
• IT security staff stated the need to increase their staff strength by 24% for cyberthreats management.
• 84% of respondents were of the view that, attracting security talents is quite difficult.
• 78% of the respondents believe entry-level IT staff interested in playing games were stronger candidates for cybersecurity roles.
