Kapersky, a Moscow-based cybersecurity company, filed a lawsuit in December, 2017 against Trump’s administration over a ban on its anti-virus products. The ban was to prevent the usage of Kaspersky‘s antivirus products in civilian and military agencies. Months after the filed lawsuit, US District Judge, Colleen Kollar-Kotelly dismissed the case.
Colleen, commented in Washington about Kaspersky‘s failure to prove Congress’ violation of the constitution to the court.
Kaspersky, in response to the lost case, has mentioned they will appeal for a retrial. The failed effort to overturn the ban enforces the funding bill by Congress and the order by the U.S Department of Homeland Security to ban Kaspersky software products over the possibility of threatening national security.
