Apple Prevents App Developers from Selling User Contacts

As part of ongoing efforts by Apple to protect users privacy, it has put stringent measures on its app store to prevent app developers from sharing user contacts. The new measures will require consent from users before developers share their data.

As part of the measures to ensure data privacy, developers who share or sell users’ contacts without their consent, would have their content taken out of the app store and subsequently banned.

Apple‘s update follows recent data breach scandal between Facebook and Cambridge Analytica.
