Google, the multinational global search engine, recently informed its employees about the resignation of Nest CEO from office. The CEO, Marvan Fawaz, is expected to join the global search engine team as a financial advisor. Nest, the smart home device manufacturer, will completely join its activities with Google’s home products department. This new information follows both parties’ decision to merge their activities five months ago.
Marvan Fawaz, in an interview, emphasized the need for both companies to work together with a common leadership to support artificial intelligence and machine learning. He further said, there will be no layoffs, as Google was hoping to expand its team.
Marwan’s resignation follows numerous complaints by Nest employees of him being more of an operations manager than a leader.
