In New Delhi, Samsung Electronics has cut the sword for the opening of the newly built mobile phone manufacturing plant. The launch follows Samsung‘s plans to increase production in the fastest growing mobile phone market. The new plant is expected to produce phones at reduced costs.
The manufacturing plant was inaugurated by both the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Moon Jae-in. During the inauguration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, mentioned that, the 50 billion-rupee invested in the plant, would go a long way to strengthen relations between India and Korea.
The new phone factory is expected to increase the current mobile phone capacity to twice its value in India. Samsung’s launch of the new plant comes after recent news of poor sales of its Galaxy devices.
