Google Maps Location Sharing Feature to Include Phone Battery Status

Google’s web mapping in the first quarter of 2017 was updated to include sharing of location with friends and family in real time. More than a year after the updated feature, Google is adding an important feature which is sharing the status of user’s phone battery.

Sharing user’s battery would allay concerns of users before, during and after a call is made with a loved one. The thoughts to questions like ‘what happened to a loved one?’, and ‘has his or her phone been stolen?’, would be a thing of the past.
