In China, Tencent a leading provider of internet valued services and games is making plans to reduce gaming addictions among under-aged children. The gaming giant’s Honour of Kings games is expected to include a registration system that will be linked to the nation’s security database.
The new rule is expected to take effect in the middle of September. The new rule will not only identify children playing games, but also restrict the time they spend on them.
The tech giant’s Honour of Kings game app is designed to be played only on a smartphone. Following this new feature release, the app was criticised by People’s daily, a newspaper in China for being very addictive.
