Google Apologizes For Changing Phone Settings Remotely

Google admitted to changing the battery saver settings of android phone users. The tech company apologized after users complained about the change without their consent.

Google explained that whiles running an internal test it mistakenly updated the saver settings for all users. The devices affected were running on Android Pie operating system.

Battery saver settings influence the frequency of updates on the app and its background activities. Additionally, the saver settings stop location services and delays notifications in order to conserve energy.
