Apple Invests Heavily in Developing MicroLED Displays.

Apple Inc, an American Multinational Technology company, is secretly designing and manufacturing prototype MicroLED screens in its California facility. The Technology company headquartered in California is making huge investments in the next generation of MicroLED displays.

MicroLED is an emerging flat panel technology consisting of arrays of microscopic LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) that forms individual pixel elements. In comparison to the widespread LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) technology, MicroLED displays promise to make future gadgets slimmer, brighter and consume less power.

Ray Soneira, the President at DisplayMate Technologies, a company that optimizes, calibrates, evaluates and compares all types of display Technologies, says bringing the design in-house is an excellent opportunity for Apple. Eventually, Apple could own MicroLED.
