One of the leading social media platforms, Facebook recently suffered another security breach. The security breach has had about 50 million accounts attacked. The social media giant discovered that attackers were able to get access to users’ accounts through the View As feature, which is a privacy feature that allowed hackers to steal Facebook access tokens thereby granting access to users’ accounts.
The vice president for product management for Facebook, Guy Rosen, informed the public that the vulnerabilities had been fixed as the accounts that were affected had been reset and a few others as well.
Facebook apologized to users and confirmed that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and its chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg had also been affected.
