The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which provides a global stage for digital innovators suffered a major blackout at its annual event last night in Las Vegas.
Sources reveal that the Las Vegas Convention Centre (LVCC), where the event was held went dark around 7:30 pm and security guards ensured that everyone was evacuated safely.
Organizers of the show explained that the power cut was due to an earlier downpour which affected a transformer closer to the venue. Power was restored after 2 hours and producers of the event apologized and extended their appreciation to their audience for their patience.
