McAfee Improves Parental Guidance Controls on LG Smartphones

McAfee, a global software security company, recently announced their partnership with LG Electronics, a South Korean multinational electronic company, to improve parental controls on LG smartphones. McAfee Safe Family, a software for parental controls, will be pre-installed on LG devices such as G7 ThinQ, Q7, Q7+ and Q Stylus  in 32 European countries.

The McAfee Safe Family has features including screen time controls, location tracking, app and web monitoring, 1st-click digital time-out and uninstall protection. The chief consumer security evangelist, Gary Davis, in a statement, emphasized the need for parents to control their children’s activities online in this technology age.

In a recent research from the American security company, 80% of parents were disturbed about their children’s activities online. Additionally, 34% of the parents found out their children had visited inappropriate sites. With LG and McAfee sharing in the vision of improving parental control, McAfee Safe Family would help solve the concerns raised by parents.
