Truecaller Launches Chat Platform

Truecaller, a mobile app that identifies numbers globally, recently launched its instant messaging platform, Truecaller Chat, within its caller-ID app. Truecaller Chat has features that will support the sharing of texts and images in real time, and a unique spam protection against spam messages.

The Vice President for Product at Truecaller, Rishit Jhunjhunwala, in a statement at the launch, said the new feature is expected to help users combat the issue of spam messages. The Truecaller Chat launch follows the call-recording feature that was released in July to enable Truecaller users record phone conversations.

Truecaller Chat is expected to be available for download from Google Play Store in a couple of weeks.
