US Commences The Lifting of ZTE Ban

Three months ago, the US Commerce Department imposed a sales ban on ZTE and has just lifted a portion of the ban temporarily till August 1st. This authorizes the Chinese information technology company, to continuously send out its equipment and consumer devices to the US.

Although the aftermath of the ban is not known, ZTE is still expected to be fully compliant with its agreement with the US government.

ZTE reduced its operations after it was slapped with a sales ban by the US government in April. The ban follows investigations which discovered that the Chinese technology company had illegally shipped US Equipment to North Korea and Iran, and had failed to reprimand its employees.
