Wifi is getting a major upgrade to improve security after its last release of WPA2 (Wifi Protected Access), fourteen years ago. The new security protocol,WPA3, is expected to prevent hackers from stealing data over users’ network. WiFi Alliance, a non-profit organization that promotes WiFi Technology, will certify devices that make use of WPA3.
Users of the new upgrade, will require passwords to log into their WiFi devices. In addition to the major upgrade, a new feature called the “Easy Connect”, would allow easier connection of home gadgets to routers.
